304/316/18-8 Stainless Steel Philips Flat Head Wood Screw
Made of stainless 18-8 or 316, these screw have a good anti-corrosion perofermance, and are a good choice for ACQ-treated (arsenic-free) lumber. All are beveled under the head for use in countersunk holes. They press threads into material for a tight, secure hold. To prevent splitting, drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the screw. They may be mildly magnetic.
Flat heads are countersunk (cone shaped under the head) with a flat top. Phillips drive is x-shaped for installation with a phillips screw driver.
